



Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, U Min Thein Zan, attended an event of meeting and giving words of encouragement to the coaches and athletes who are currently training for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games at the Gold Medal Hall, Gold Camp, Nay Pyi Taw,on Tuesday.
The Union Minister began by explaining that the 33rd Southeast Asian Games, which will be hosted by Thailand, is scheduled to take place from December 9 to 20, 2025. Approximately 50 types of sports will be featured, and Myanmar plans to participate in 24 of them.
The Minister also highlighted that the event would serve as a platform to foster the emergence of new-generation athletes, having already organized the 5th National Sports Festival for this purpose.
Additionally, he expressed that the government is planning to provide enhanced support to athletes who will bring honor to the country at the upcoming Southeast Asian Games, ensuring that they receive assistance beyond what was previously provided. He encouraged all athletes to train with determination and give their best efforts.
The ceremony was attended by the Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, U Min Thein Zan, along with Deputy Ministers, Directors-General, officials, coaches, and athletes from various types of sports.
