Livestock Sector Development: Project planning for 2025-2026 fiscal year

Livestock and Veterinary Department under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation held a work coordination meeting for second quarter of 2024-2025 fiscal year on January 18th.

Deputy Minister Dr Aung Gyi attended the meeting and discussed the work implementations for food sufficiency, systematic management of agricultural inputs, human resources and financial matter, boosting production through research based modern technologies and market penetration both locally and internationally.

He also explained plans for emergence of agriculture and livestock industry with long term sustainability, loan disbursement for livestock sector, private investments in establishing livestock breeding zones and capacity building programs for human resource development.

The meeting sought solutions on the needs for successful implementation of works included in the National Planning Law in 2024-2025 fiscal year. In addition, drafting effective action plan for development of livestock sector and project planning for 2025-2026 fiscal year were discussed.
