




Union Minister for Education, Dr. Nyunt Pe visited Loikaw University on Wednesday and inspected the conditions of the main building, which requires renovation.
Next, the Union Minister instructed for prioritizing the renovation and maintenance of convocation hall, library, classrooms, dormitories, and staff quarters within the campus and coordinated the necessary repairs and preparations for the university’s reopening, ensuring that all necessary tasks were being undertaken to make the campus ready for operation.
The Union Minister then visited Loikaw Education Degree College, where he met with the principal, Deputy principal, teachers, staff, and students. During the meeting, the Union Minister expressed his gratitude for the collaborative efforts of the Kayah State Chief Minister, the education degree college principal, and all the teachers in reopening the schools. He encouraged the students to strive to become high-quality teachers and assured them that necessary support would be provided through coordination with the principal and state authorities.
The Union Minister then visited the state education office, where he met with district and township education officers, as well as primary, middle, and High school principals and teachers. He praised the efforts of the teachers and staff in reopening of schools in Loikaw Township, acknowledging their hard work.
He also addressed the needs raised by those in attendance, assuring them that support would be provided. Additionally, the Union Minister visited Loikaw No. (7) Basic Education High School, where he inspected the premises and met with the principal and teachers. He offered further support to address the school’s needs.
