Science and Technology: National Grassroots Innovation Competition for Students

The National Grassroots Innovation Competition for Students was held at Naypyitaw State Polytechnic University in Pobbathiri Township, Union territory on Saturday. The aim is to participate in the Innovation Project Competition of the “5th ASEAN-India Grassroots Innovation Forum”.

Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw and officials encouraged the students participating in the competition. 48 projects from nine Universities, 4 from three Government Technical Institutes, 2 from two Government Technical High Schools, totalling 54 projects submitted for the competition. Among them, 21 projects have been selected tentatively including 16 from eight Universities, 3 from four Government Technical Insitutes, 1 from Government Technical High School. Awards were presented to 5 groups to represent Myanmar in the 5th ASEAN-India Grassroots Innovation Forum.
