Golf competition: Golf competition held marking Kachin State Day

The opening ceremony of the golf competition and the award ceremony organized by the Kachin State Government in commemorationg the 77th Kachin State Day which will fall on January 10, was held at Myitkyina Golf Club on January 7.

First, the opening ceremony of the golf tournament was held at 6:30 AM, where Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, State Ministers, the president of Myitkyina Golf Club, and officials hit a smoke ball to officially start the event. They warmly greeted the 27 teams of golf players who were about to compete.

Later, at 6 PM, the award ceremony of the golf tournament in honor of the 77th Kachin State Day was held at the golf course. The Chairman of Organizing Committee, State Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Kyaw Min Khine, explained the progress of organizing the tournament and presented gifts commemorating the golf tourment to the Chief Minister and Deputy Commander.

Additionally, traditional ethnic dances and contemporary songs were performed, and the prize presenting ceremony took place, where the Deputy Commander, State Government Ministers and  officials, presented prizes to the winners. The Chief Minister’s wife also awarded prizes to the female competition winners.

Subsequently, the State Minister for Security and Border Affairs awarded prizes to the winners of the gross scores (no handicap strokes applied), and the Chief Justice of the State High Court presented prizes to the second and third-place winners of the team competition. The Chief Minister also honored the first-place winning teams of the team competition with medal of honor and cash prizes.
