





The Chief Minister of Rakhine State, U Htein Lin, along with members of the state government and relevant Departmental officials, visited the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department and the Special Investigation Department's state offices in the morning on January 6. During the visit, they met with the staff and observed their work operations in the offices.
In a meeting with the staff at the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department, the Chief Minister stated that agriculture and livestock farming are the main economic activities in Rakhine State. He emphasized that, due to the saline water surrounding the state, rainwater is primarily relied upon for cultivation. As a result, irrigation systems are crucial, and these irrigation systems are vital not only for farmers but also for the general public, he explained.
The State Head officer of the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department further clarified the staff organization and the current operations of the office.
Following that, the Chief Minister and party visited the office, where they observed staff carrying out their duties. They also reviewed the efforts taken to maintain cleanliness and order in the office environment.
During a meeting with the staff of the Special Investigation Department, the Chief Minister discussed the state government's support for the well-being of its employees, including the provision of rice and food supplies, as well as free healthcare services for retired government personnel. He also highlighted the importance of carrying out the department's duties proficiently, with a focus on employee safety, office security, and the protection of documents.
Additionally, the Chief Minister and party reviewed the operations of the office staff and inspected the efforts taken to maintain cleanliness and order in the guesthouse of the Department and offices.
