The Myanma Petrochemical Enterprise inaugurated the Fuel Station on Yaza Thingaha Road in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday.

This marks the first fuel station operated by the state-owned enterprise, providing affordable fuel to the public.

Director, Myanma Petrochemical Enterprise, Yin Yin Aung said "The enterprise, under the guidance of the Union Minister for Energy, is focusing on supplying fuel and fertilizers produced from locally extracted oil and natural gas. These products are being offered to the public at reasonable prices."

For instance, the price for a liter of Octane No.68 is set at 2,200 kyat, which has been well-received by the public for its affordability.

Kyaw Swar, Thapyay Kone Market said "The lower fuel price helps reduce ferry charges for commuters, which in turn supports our families. We greatly appreciate the reasonable pricing for such an essential daily need."

San Lin, Thapyay Kone Oway Gate said "Previously, we paid around 3,200 kyat per liter. Now, with a price difference of about 1,000 kyat less, it's very convenient for us, and the fuel quality remains almost the same."

In addition to the facility in Nay Pyi Taw, two new fuel stations were also opened in Mandalay on the same day. Plans are underway to open similar fuel stations in Taungoo of Bago Region and Loilem of Shan State (South).
