New Year Donation: 92nd Anniversary of Hnin Zi Gone Home for the Aged

In commemoration of the92nd anniversary of Hnin Zi Gone Home for the Aged, New Year Donation Event took place on Wednesday. During the event, well-wishers donated Buddha statues and footprint of Lord Buddha, along with the consecration ceremony. 

BhaddantaAshinNaradaBhivamsa, HlaYadanaSayadawgyi, said " At 92nd anniversary of HninZi Gone Home for the Aged, we donate footprint of Lord Buddha with 108 illustrations for paying homage by the elders, staff and well-wishers.  Buddhists believe that paying homage to footprint of Lord Buddha protect them from harmfulness in their life cycle."

Starting from 85th Anniversary, donation ceremonies have been held resoundingly by inviting members of the Sangha.

Khin Tint, Joint Secretary, HninZi Gone Home for the Aged, said " The New Year donation event is held here with the contribution of well-wisher, staff, patron members and elderly individuals. I became one of the patron members of HninZi Gone Home for the Aged since 2015. As a New Year donation, we annually offer Morning Soon to Lord Buddha, donate rice to members of the Sangha and recite ParittaSuta. I would like to wish all the citizen to start the New Year with full of joy and well-being."

Currently, a total of 130 elder persons are receiving residential facilityat HninZi Gone Home for the Aged. Patron members and staff are implementing for providing of foodstuff, clothing and health care facilities to elderly individuals. 

PhoeHtoo, Secretary, HninZi Gone Home for the Aged, said " We are making efforts to provide more health care services and for accommodation.I would like to express our gratitude to the well-wishers who support us. For those who turned 70-year-old with good health conditions, having no one for taking care of them and no infectious diseases can apply to take shelter at HninZi Gone Home for the Aged."

HninZi Gone Homefor the Agedwas established on 1st January 1933 by Nun Daw Thu Malar at HninZi Gone Ward in Thingangyun Township. On 30th of April, 1956, the home was moved to No. 21 Kaba Aye Pagoda Road in Bahan Township for more convenience of the elders.
