







Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo on Sunday inspected the progress of rehabilitation works in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.
Due to flooding, significant damage has occurred across the area, including losses of livestock, damage to crop plantations, and various infrastructures. In Gyokone Village, the Council Chairman met with local farmers and explained the government’s efforts for reconstruction, urging all to strive for the improvement of livestock and agricultural production.
During the meeting, local breed cows were provided to the farmers as compensation for their losses.
In Ponama Village, the Council Chairman oversaw the replanting of flowers and crops that were damaged by flooding. In a meeting with local farmers in Magyikone Village, the Council Chairman encouraged to grow winter crops, using high-quality seeds and inputs systematically to achieve high yields. Sunn hemp seeds were also provided to the farmers, and the Chairman later observed the cultivation of sunn hemp in the field.
He also inspected the progress of constructing the Nawin Creek Bridge (Ahsone) on the Yangon-Mandalay Union Highway in Kintha Village-tract. Bridge Special Group (6) is undertaking the reconstruction of the 190 ft long bridge, which is being upgraded from a two-lane to a four-lane facility. The Council Chairman instructed for timely completion of the tasks, prioritizing the worksite safety.
