Tour in Ayeyawady Region: Development works in Maubin District inspected

Member of the State Administration Council Mahn Nyein Maung, together with Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win, inspected the agricultural works in MaUbin District.

In Mayan Village of Pandanaw Township, the SAC member viewed the thriving sunflower plantation and presented the agricultural inputs to the farmers.

On arrival at Daw Wah Village, they inspected the summer paddy plantation, irrigated by solar-powered pumping system. They also oversaw the thriving coconut plantation in Yinkadit Village of Danuphyu Township, chosen site for construction of 16-bed Station Hospital in Lay Eain Su Village-tract of MaUbin Township.

The SAC member also made donations at the village Dhamma School and provided cash assistance for the students. At MauBin District General Administrative Office, the SAC member met with the departmental personnel and gave guidance. He also coordinated the needs after hearing reports on work undertakings.

On the same day, the SAC member participated in the Kayin New Year Celebration, held at Chaung Wa Village in Nyaungdon Township. He urged the Kayin nationals to safeguard the literature, culture and heritage of Kayin people while living in unity. They then enjoyed the Kayin traditional Don dance and presented cash rewards to the performers.
