Drug Seizure: Over K14.1 billion worth of narcotic drugs seized in Bago

Over 14.1 billion kyat worth of narcotic drugs have been seized in Bago.

On December 20th, a combined team from the Anti-Drug Task Force, acting on a tip-off, searched a Toyota Dyna vehicle on Bo Aung Kyaw Road of Ward No.6 in Bago, and discovered over 5.2 million stimulant tablets, 170 kilos of ICE (Methamphetamine) and 2.67 kilos of Happy Water, with the arrest of two suspects.

The interrogation led to the arrest of two more suspects on the same day. The seizure drugs are reported to be transported to Yangon Region, Rakhine and Kayin States from Namtsam of Shan State (South) via Bago.
