Livestock and Agriculture: Development works in Mandalay Region

Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, together with Region Government Ministers and other concerned officials, paid a visit to the Myat Min pig farm in Let U Kone Village, Tada U Township in the afternoon of December 26.

The Chief Minister and party heard reports on the DYL pig breeding operations, with a target of 180,000 piglets annually through artificial insemination, as well as the challenges in distributing piglets to the market.

The Chief Minister coordinated the requirements and observed the ongoing operations.At Road Department's briefing hall in Sanpya-Thein Kone village, Yemaethin District, the Chief Minister, accompanied by the Minister for Transport and officials heard reports on the repair of cyclone-damaged roads, completion status, temporary drainage work and plans for an 18-foot concrete paving on the Yamethin-ShweMyin Tin road.

The Chief Minister instructed for systematic implementation f works, following standards and guidelines.

The Chief Minister and party then proceeded to the Sin Shwe Kyar-2 Field Demonstration and met with farmers. After coordinating the farmer’s needs, the Chief Minister and party inspected the fields.
