






Deputy Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U MyintSoe visited PyawBwe Township in Mandalay Region on Thursday, to oversee the implementation of 5-year Smart Village project.
Min HlaThazi Village is being implementing as the smart village starting 2024-2025 fiscal year. The Deputy Minister met with the villagers and departmental personnel to carry out the works in a timely manner and to strive for socio-economic development. He also inspected the reconstruction of 30 ft long bridge on the village entrance road and water supply for sunflower plantation, while observing the sewing training courses.
In addition, the Deputy Minister viewed the cattle farm, paving of concrete road and digging of solar-powered tube well. In Phet Taw Village, the Deputy Minister met with cotton growers and urged all for collaboration with departmental personnel to achieve quality yields.
In Yan Aung Village, the Deputy Minister coordinated the needs for producing quality oil crops and construction of production lanes. He later inspected the tarred paving on the road connecting Kyi Ni and HinKhwet Ai Villages and the Foundry Shop in Kyi Ni Village that provides mechanical parts for weaving machines in Thae Taw and Wuntwin areas. In DweHla Village of Kyaukse Township, the Deputy Minister met with the sunflower growers and provided the needs. They then visited Amarapura Township and inspected the chosen site for construction of 60-ton rice mill.
