Inspection of farmland development: MoALI UM inspected mechanized farming project

The Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation, U Min Naung, Deputy Minister U Bo Bo Kyaw, and departmental officials visited the industrial agriculture project site located in the Aung Zeya, Ma U Taw, and Thet Hnin Inn Village-tract areas of Zayyarthiri Township, Naypyidaw Council area on December 24 to inspect the systematic mechanized farmland development project, which covers 260.70 acres. During the visit, the Director-General of Agricultural Mechanization Department and other responsible officials provided explanations regarding the progress of the project.

The Union Minister emphasized that the government's investment in the mechanized farming system aims to support the transition to modern agricultural practices, contributing to the development of agricultural production.

He also highlighted the importance of systematically managing irrigation and water supply systems to support farming activities, urging the farmers to work towards improving their agricultural practices. Furthermore, he stressed that agricultural lands should be utilized in accordance with the Land Use Law, and the responsible authorities must take necessary actions to ensure compliance.

The land development project, which is located in the Aung Zeya, Ma U Taw, and Thet Hnin Inn Village-tract areas of Zayyarthiri Township, is being carried out with a budget of 581.082 million kyats.

It covers a total area of 260.70 acres, with a total length of irrigation canals of over 34,000 feet, drainage canals of over 27,000 feet, 119 water pumping stations, and 23,320 feet of access roads. This project is being implemented as part of the systematic mechanized farming system.
