On December 23, the Sagaing Region Government organized an event at the Chindwin Hall in Monywa, where they provided health check-ups and distributed basic food supplies to retired civil servants within the region. The event was attended by the Chief Minister of Sagaing Region, U Myat Kyaw, members of the Region Government, office staff from the region government office, and retired civil servants within the region.
First, the retired civil servants who attended the event were treated to a breakfast. The Chief Minister of Sagaing Region and other region government members warmly welcomed and introduced the retired civil servants from various departments within the region, before presenting them with nutrition supplements, including eggs, for a total of 650 retired civil servants.
Following that, the Chief Minister and the officials observed the health checks conducted by the Monywa District Public Health Department. The checks included screenings for diabetes, high blood pressure, joint pain, heart disease, and respiratory issues. They were encouraged by the ongoing efforts to provide medical care, and any further needs for medical treatment were addressed with the responsible individuals.
Additionally, the Chief Minister and officials observed that the Department of Consumer Affairs and the Region Development Committee were selling basic food supplies—such as rice, cooking oil, and vegetables—at affordable prices to the retired civil servants within the hall.
