Providing healthcare: MGY CM gave words of encouragement

The Magway Region government has organized a program to provide healthcare services to retired civil servants, ensuring they have access to affordable medical care and reducing the costs of necessary treatments.

On the morning of December 23rd, the program was launched at the Myanmar Economic Bank in Magwe. The event was attended by Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, senior officials from Magwe military station, Region Government ministers, and relevant departmental officials.

They observed the providing free medical treatment to the retired civil servants by the specialist doctors from the Region People's Hospital and distribution of the 3 pyi of rice and one viss of cooking oil at the affordable prices.

This initiative is part of the government's effort to reduce medical expenses for retired civil servants who have faithfully served the nation, allowing them to access necessary treatments in an organized manner. The free medical services are provided by specialist doctors, including ophthalmologists and general practitioners, and for those requiring further care, they are referred to the People's Hospital for continued treatment.

Apart from Magway, this free healthcare initiative for retired civil servants will be conducted monthly across all townships in the Region. The program aims to improve the support for retired civil servants and expand the provision of basic food essentials to them.
