Annual Year-End Cleanup at Himeji Castle

About 500 members from the Ground Self-Defense Force camp in Himeji carried out an annual year-end cleanup at Himeji Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site in western Japan on Thursday.

This year marks the 49th annual cleanup that is carried out as part of training. Commander of the camp said they are making sure to carry out the work safely, saying he wants visitors to see the castle regain its brilliant appearance of a Castle.
