






Kachin State Rural Development Supervisory Committee on Wednesday held a work coordination meeting on adopting effective working processes in implementing rural development projects within the state.
During the meeting held at the hall of the state government office, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nam emphasized on narrowing down the development gap between urban and rural area as the 70 percent of country’s population lives in rural areas.
The Chief Minister urged the attendees to make discussion on completion and developement of working processes in accordance with the fiscal year and to review difficulties and weak points. After calling for collective efforts of all concerned officials, the attendees reported on current working processes and future plans.
Upon the reports, the Chief Minister coordinated the requirement. In the afternoon, the meetings of Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Land Management Committee and Farmland Management Committee were held.
Prior to the meetings, the Chief Minister said in prioritizing agriculture and livestock production businesses through effective utilization of farmland within the state, the Committees’ decision and scrutinizing matters on farmland cases must be implemented in accordance with rule and regulations. Then, the attendees reported on their working processes according to respective sectors and the Chief Minister coordinated the needs.
