Land management comm. meeting: Shan State CM attended and made the remarks

The State Land Management Committee meeting (5/2024) and the State Vacant, Fallow and Virgin LandsManagement Committee meeting (5/2024) was held at the meeting hall of the Shan State Government Office in Taunggyi on December 18.

During the meeting, the Chairman of Shan State Land Management Committee, Chairman of Shan State Vacant, Fallow and Virgin LandsManagement Committee, Chief Minister U Aung Aung, mentioned that the committee members would discuss land-related issues and matters regarding permission of right to work on vacant and fallow lands submitted by the Committee members and to review which types of land use should or should not be authorized.

The State Land Management Committee was urged to make quick decisions on issues that can be authorized according to the Agricultural Land Law and By-law, Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Lands Law and by-law and related regulations. The decisions are finalized and then sent to the State Government for approval. Additionally, matters that need further submission to the Central Land Management Committee and the Central Vacant, Fallow and Virgin LandsManagement Committee should be examined and submitted promptly.

Furthermore, the decisions made in the State Land Management Committee meeting (4/2024) and the State Vacant, Fallow and Virgin LandsManagement Committee meeting (4/2024) were read and approved. The discussions and decisions from the State Land Management Committee meeting (5/2024) were also reviewed and made decisions. Then, the Chief Minister gave a closing remark.
