Inspection of WYTU: MoST UM inspected West Yangon Technological University

The Union Minister for Science and Technology, Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw, visited the West Yangon Technological University in Yangon Region for an inspection in the morning on 17th December.

Upon arrival, the Union Minister and the officials met with the rector and department heads. The rector provided an update on the University’s matters and the construction progress of the main three-story building. The construction company responsible for the project presented the status of the ongoing, completed, and remaining construction tasks.

Based on these reports, the Union Minister instructed that action plans be developed systematically to address the necessary tasks. The Minister also emphasized the need to ensure that practical classrooms are completed in line with the curriculum guidelines so that students can learn in a well-organized educational environment.

Additionally, the Union Minister stressed that construction companies should adhere to established standards and quality requirements, ensuring timely completion of projects.

Furthermore, the Union Minister and officials reviewed the status of the building’s room arrangements, construction work areas, sports grounds, football ground, and the overall cleanliness and aesthetic environment of the University, including efforts to maintain green spaces and good infrastructure.
