






Members of State Administration Council including Dr. HmuHtan, Dr. Ba Shwe and Khun San Lwin, along with Union Minister for Border Affairs, Lt-Gen. Tun Tun Naung, Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Rakhine State Chief Minister U HteinLin, member of SAC Central Advisory Board Daw Aye Nu Sein, Deputy Ministers Daw Nu Myat Zan, U Zaw Aye Maung, and State Government Memberspaid homage to the Lawka Nanda Pagoda and the ancient historic Sakyamuni Buddha Image before the meeting with teachers from both higher education and basic education on 16th December.
Initially, SAC members and party paid homage to the Buddha image inside the Lawka Nanda Pagoda, offering flowers, candles, and water, and made cash donations for the renovation of the pagoda and toured inside the pagoda.
Next, the SAC members and party visited the ongoing construction of new temple (2) for the Maravijaya and Abhayarajamuni Buddha Images, as well as the work on laying the heat-resistant tiles at the site. The State Minister for Transportation and Communication provided clarifications about the construction work.During the briefing, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin added further explanations, and the SAC members and party provided guidance on what needs to be done.
Then, theypaid respect to the Maravijaya and Abhayarajamuni Buddha Images, offering flowers, candles, and water, made cashdonations and reviewed the ongoing work on laying the heat resistant tiles at the pagoda platform.Subsequently, they paid homage to the Sakyamuni Buddha Image located within the Lawka Nanda Pagoda, offering flowers, candles, and water, and made further cash donations.
Later, they visited Sittwe University and met with the teachers from both higher education and basic education in the university’s convocation hall. During the meeting, SAC member Dr. Ba Shweexplained that the team had come under the guidance of the head of the State to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Golden Jubilee of Rakhine State Day, and to attend a dinner event. He mentioned that the current situation in Rakhine State will improve and stabilize over time, allowing for the continuation of development activities.
He also expressed gratitude toward the personnel from Education Department for their critical role in shaping the country's future.The teachers present shared their current responsibilities and needs. Following their feedback, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin and SAC member Dr. Ba Shwe discussed the issues raised.The team then presented cash assistance and essential goods to the teachers. They later toured the university campus in vehicles to review the facilities.
