115th anniversary dinner reception: SAC member attended the reception

The 115th anniversary dinner celebration of the China Merchants Association in Myanmar was held at the LOTTE Hotel on Kabar Aye Pagoda Road, Hlaing Township, Yangon in the evening on 16th December.

Attendees included the General Nyo Saw on behalf of the Chairman of the State Administration Council, Union Ministers U Win Shein, U Maung Maung Ohn, Dr. Charlie Than, U Tun Ohn, Chief Minister of Yangon Region U Soe Thein, the Chairman of Myanmar Economic Holdings Public Limited Lt-Gen San Oo, China Merchants Association U Ai Tun, other prominent members, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Myanmar, Ms. Ma Jia, the Chinese Consul-General, and invited guests and responsible officials.

First, the attendees observed the photos documenting the history of China Merchants Association in Myanmar. After that, a group photo was taken with the participation of SAC member General Nyo Saw, Union Ministers, and key members of the association.

The event was officially opened with a performance of the national anthem of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.Next, a video highlighting the history of the China Merchants Association in Myanmar was shown to the attendees.Following the video, SAC member General Nyo Saw delivered an opening speech on behalf of the Chairman of the State Administration Council.

The Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar also addressed the audience with a speech.After that, the Chairman of the China Merchants Association in Myanmar, U Ai Tun, gave a welcome speech and hosted the guests with a dinner.

The Chairman of the China Merchants Association in Myanmar also made a charitable donation to the Yangon General Hospital, Yangon Children’s Hospital, and the Waibargi Specialty Hospital, which are under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, and the Ministry of Health.

The donations were accepted by the respective responsible officials.Later, SAC member General Nyo Saw, the Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar, and the Chairman of the China Merchants Association in Myanmar together cut a commemorative cake.During the dinner, Myanmar and Chinese friendship songs, as well as traditional dance performances, were presented to entertain the guests.
