Commemorative Parade: 77th anniversary celebration of Air Force

A Military Parade commemorating the 77th anniversary of Air Force took place at the Meiktila Air Base on Sunday. The parade columns saluted the State Flag and fallen Tatmadawmen, followed by reciting the Four Oaths.

Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung later inspected the parade columns. The Commander-in-Chief (Air)later gave a commemorative speech and departed from the parade ground. As part of the anniversary celebration, a ceremony to offer Soon to the members of the Sangha led by the Member of Meiktila Township Sangha Nayaka Committee Patron Sayadaw of Thae Kone Monastery was held at Aircrafts Production and Repair Base Headquarters.

The Commander-in-Chief (Air) and congregation received Five Precepts from the Sayadaw and listened to the Parittas recited by the members of the Sangha. After donating offertories to the members of the Sangha, the congregation listened to the sermon, delivered by the Sayadaw. They then shared the merits gained, and offered Soon to the Sayadaw and members of the Sangha.
