33rd Meeting of UMFCCI: MOPF Union Minister addresses the meeting

The 33rd meeting of Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) was held at Yangon National Theater on December 14.

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein attended the meeting and delivered a speech, saying that private sector is the major driving force for country’s economic development.

In 2024-2025 fiscal year, implementations are underway to achieve 3.8 percent of country’s GDP growth despite the impact of Typhoon Yagi and current situations on some sectors. For achieving better economic environment in terms of policy matters, he stressed that the Federation’s efforts can assist many benefits in bridging between government and private sector.

The meeting then continued with the presentation on annual report and reports of JF Group-Certified Public Accountants & Auditors. The meeting adopted the annual report and financial statements and appointed the external accountant.

After the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and party toured around the displays of booths, exhibited by the affiliated associations.
