Inspection tour: Sagaing Region CM inspected regional development works

The Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw along with the Region Government Ministers, commander of  Homalin military station, regional level departmental officials visited the farm of U Sar Nwan, a member of the Naung Phut Maw Agricultural and General Cooperative which is running with the country’s economic promotion fund, in Homalin Township  on December 10.

The Chief Minister and officials inspected two chicken farms, each containing 1,200 fattened chickens at one month and 15 days old, and another farm with 2,200 fattened chickens of similar agewhich had been raised by U Mon Pi and  coordinated with the responsible officials to address any necessary needs.

Later, the Chief Minister and officials visited a 34.58-acre winter peanut field farmed by 60 local farmers in Homalin Township. They attended an event to showcase improved methods for increasing peanut yields, where they provided support by distributing spraying equipment, fertilizers, and various types of seeds to the local farmers.

Next, the Chief Minister and officials visited Homalin Ward and Khaung Kham Village, to inspect 364 acres of summer rice fields being cultivated by local farmers. After assessing the situation, they coordinated with responsible officials to provide the necessary assistance.

Following that, the Chief Minister and officials visited the village of San Kat in the Homalin Township and observed a demonstration of the branching out, molding and harvesting of tea leaves by the staff of the Township Agriculture Department. They also provided local farmers with sprayers, harvesters, and tea seeds for planting.

The Chief Minister and party then visited a business in Kattha village in Homalin Township, which produces bamboo-based consumer products, to conduct an inspection and address any needs in coordination with the relevant officials.

Finally, the Chief Minister and officials visited the 100-bed hospital in Homalin Township, where they provided food supplies to doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers. They also inspected the water supply situation at the hospital, including the site for a new well to ensure the hospital staff and patients had a reliable water source, and coordinated with officials to address any necessary requirements.
