India’s Foreign Secretary meets Bangladesh’s Foreign Secretary

India’s Foreign Secretary met Bangladesh’s Foreign Secretary on Monday in Dhaka.

During the talks, Bangladesh’s Foreign Secretary expressed Bangladesh’s expectation for the resolution of all “unsettled issues” with India in the quickest possible time.

He also added that relations with India were “historic” and both sides agreed to carry it forward in a “free, frank and candid” discussion. India reiterated its interest in fostering positive and constructive relations with Bangladesh while raising concerns about the safety of minority communities.
