








Launching of China-Myanmar Media Cooperation Programs and China Walk Program under Belt and Road Initiative was held at China Cultural Center in Yangon on Saturday.
The documentary programs jointly produced by China Media Group and Myanmar medias such as MRTV, MITV, Skynet and YTV have been introduced during the ceremony, which is held to commemorate the 75th anniversary diplomatic relations of Myanmar and China.
Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint explained the cooperation programs being implemented between the Ministry and Chinese media.
Deputy Minister, Ministry of Information, Ye Tint said "MRTV has been cooperating with China for the development of the media sector, with yearly improvements in cooperation areas. Through media cooperation, we can help strengthen the friendship between the two peoples and foster a better understanding of each other's culture."
Chinese Minister Consellor Mr. Zhang Zhihong of the Chinese Embassy in Yangon spoke about the strengthening of relations between Myanmar and China through the cooperation in media sector.
Myanmar media personnel also shared their experience on producing joint programs with China.
Staff Officer, MRTV, May Likha Soe said "Chinese movies and documentaries have been familiar to Myanmar people since we were young. However, we have learned about China through the works of Chinese directors and editors. At present, Myanmar media professionals themselves visit China to present the country's development to our Myanmar audience. In this way, the Myanmar audience can learn about China through the work of their fellow media personnel, providing more insightful knowledge."
Technician Grade (1), MITV, Kyaw Set Lin said "Together with media personnel from ASEAN member states, we visited Hainan Island in China to document the development of the culture, education, agriculture, and health sectors. We had the opportunity to exchange experiences while promoting understanding and friendship among each other."
As part of the cooperation, MRTV and CMG discussed to produce a joint program titled “To the Greenish Plantation”, showcasing the development of agriculture sector.
MITV is a broadcast TV brand intended for international and local English speaking consumers, launched on 31st March 2010 based in Yangon.
