






The 2nd day meeting between the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) and registered political parties continued at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw.
The meeting was attended by Union Minister for Border Affairs Chairman of National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung together with committee members, chairs from 51 registered political parties and many other concerned officials.
During the meeting, the attendees made discussion on the matters of building a union based on democracy and federal system as well as election, security measures and general issues.
The secretary of NSPNC also made clarification on findings of two-day discussions which include the Constitution of India and its federal system, amendment for 2008 constitution proposed by the committee, ethnic armed organizations and political parties. He also clarified the views and recommendations of political parties on the matters of building a union based on democracy and federalism, holding multi-party general election and security affairs.
The meeting was concluded by the Chairman of NSPNC saying that discussions will be carried out in the future emphasizing on amendment of 2008 constitution and holding of free and fair multi-party general election considering the suggestions of political parties while focusing on rights to vote of the citizen.
