Development Works: Efforts for ruraldevelopment and plans for pagoda festival

On December 5th, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, alongside regional officials toured the thriving 5-acre MaNawThuKha paddy field of farmer U Win Maung in YePote Village, Minbu (Saku) Township.

During the visit, they heard reports on the high rice yields from the monsoon paddy fields. The Chief Minister also met with 85 farmers at the briefing hall and offered suggestions on cultivating region-specific varieties and using cost-effective direct seeding instead of broadcast seeding.

He discussed improving agricultural production and establishing proper crop patterns based on irrigation. Then, the Chief Minister coordinated the local farmers' needs. Upon arrival at SuTaungPyae Pagoda (No.25) in Saku Township, the Chief Minister and party inspected the ongoing renovation works and the excavation of the ZeyaThiri Canal, received progress reports and provided further instructions.

They then oversaw the rural village road, which benefits over 150,000 farmlands from four villages in transporting their products. The Chief Minister instructed maintenance for long-term durability.

The Chief Minister and party then met with the members of Man ShweSettaw Pagoda Festival Organizing Committee at the Minbu District General Administration Department and heard reports on the event's planning and preparations. Based on the reports, the Chief Minister coordinated the needs for its successful execution.
