Work Undertakings: Plans for Christmas, Independence Day & Cultural Troupe

The Kachin State Government held a coordination meeting on 6th December to ensure the successful celebration of the 2024 Family Christmas Festival and the 77th Independence Day ceremony, which will take place on January 4, 2025.

Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan emphersized the meausres for suceessful holding of the events. Attendees from respective Sub-Committees reported the event arrangements, preparations and necessary initiatives, coordination and decision measures as well.

The members of the state government also took part in the discussion, based on the strengths and weaknesses of previous year's events.

Additionally, the Chief Minister along with the State Ministers, met with the traditional dance troupe from Kachin State, who will participate in the closing ceremony of the 5th National Sports Festival.

The meeting took place in the state Government Office's meeting room before the troupe travels to Nay Pyi Taw to take part in the event. During the meeting, the Chief Minister encouraged the group, urging them to participate with unity and enthusiasm, alongside all ethnic groups. The Chief Minister also provided 2.4 million kyat cash assistance for the Ethnic Cultural Troupe.
