Agriculture Development: MOALI Deputy Minister tours in Shan State

Nyaung Shwe Agricultural Mechanization Department hosted a ceremony on demonstration of potato planting with planter at Baw Nin village of Kalaw Township on 4th December.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw along with the departmental officials. During the visit, the Deputy Minister said utilizing potato planter give the benefits of reducing agricultural costs with more systematic cultivation, getting high yield and good quality products with less wastage.

The Deputy Minister also instructed the need for widely utilization of planters locally. The Deputy Minister later oversaw the cultivation of garlic, Mustard and potato farms inYwarGyi village, and gave necessary instructions.

They later visited the agriculture zone in Kun Lon village-tract of Taunggyi Township, and heard reports by the official from Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department on the process of water distribution in the zone. Then, the Deputy Minister met with the departmental officials at the hall of the agriculture zone, received the reports and gave necessary instructions.
