





Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism, Dr. Thet Thet Khine accompanied by Deputy Minister U Phyo Zaw Soe, Nay Pyi Taw Council Member U Zeyar Lin, Permanent Secretary and Chairman and members of Myanmar Tourism Federation (MTF), visited Nyaung Pin Thar Village in Magyi Pin Village-Tract of Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday to assess the progress of rehabilitation initiatives in the area.
The Union Minister first met with village administrators, Village community leaders and residents of Nyaung Pin Thar Village. During the meeting, the Union Minister stated that the purpose of the visit was to observe the rehabilitation efforts being carried out by the Myanmar Tourism Federation, its affiliate associations, and donors for the village, which was affected by the flood disaster, and to identify any necessary support to provide assistance.
The Union Minister emphasized that the Ministry would continue to collaborate with relevant organizations and donors to assist in restoring areas damaged by the floods. Furthermore, she pointed out that if community-based eco-tourism initiatives could be implemented in the village, it would attract domestic and international tourists, contributing to the socio-economic development of the local community. She encouraged the locals to work together in unity for the peace, prosperity, and development of their village.
Following this, Nay Pyi Taw Council Member U Zeyar Lin and representatives from the Myanmar Tourism Federation provided a briefing on the current status of rehabilitation efforts in Nyaung Pin Thar Village and the future plans for further initiatives. Subsequently, on behalf of the village, U Aung Soe expressed gratitude for the support and efforts in implementing rehabilitation plans for the village, which had suffered severe damages due to the floods.
Afterward, the Union Minister, Deputy Minister, and Nay Pyi Taw Council member distributed food supplies to the residents and inspected the construction of the Community Center within the village. They also reviewed the potential for developing community-based eco-tourism in the area.
