Victory Flag to Sports Contingent: SAC member DPM UM presented victory flag

A ceremony of presenting victory flag was held at the assembly hall of the Ministry of Transport and Communication in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on 4th December, for the sports team, represented the Ministry in the 5th National Sports Festival.

The ceremony was attended by a member of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister, Union Minister General Mya Tun Oo, along with Deputy Ministers and officials, team managers, coaches, and athletes representing the Ministry's sports teams. During the event, the SAC member emphasized the guidance from the head of state “The advancement of sports enhances the physical and mental capabilities of citizens and directly contributes to the development of human resources.”

He urged participants to prioritize these principles and ensure thorough preparation for success, stressing that physical and mental fitness, discipline, adherence to rules, and strong team spirit are crucial for victory. He also advised athletes to take care of their health and avoid injuries during their participation.

The SAC member then presented the victory flag to the team. The Ministry of Transport and Communications will participate in the 5th National Sports Festival with a total of 103 athletes to compete in various sport events including men's football, men's futsal, men's and women's volleyball, men's Sepak Takraw, golf, and athletics (both men and women), it’s learnt.
