Receiving Russian delegation: SAC Chairman received delegation of Russia State Duma

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Mr. Sholban Kara-Ool, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, at the Credential Hall of the SAC Chairman’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on December 3rd.

The attendees together with the SAC Chairman Prime Minister were the SAC Secretary. General Aung Lin Dwe, SAC members General Myat Tun Oo and U Wunna Maung Lwin, Chairman of the Union Election Commission U Ko Ko, Union Ministers Dr. Kan Zaw, Dr. Thida Oo, U Tin Oo Lwin, U Ko Ko Lwin along with the officials.

The Russian side included Mr. Iskander Azizov, Russian Ambassador to Myanmar, and members of the delegation.During the meeting, both sides discussed the long-standing friendly relations between the two countries and the continued strengthening of mutual ties and cooperation.

Topics included exchange visits by high-ranking officials, Russia’s steadfast support for Myanmar’s political developments on the international stage, and Myanmar’s reciprocal support for Russia’s political developments.

They also discussed Myanmar's preparations for conducting free and fair elections, plans to invite Russian observer groups during the election period, potential collaboration in legal matters, and exchanges in religious and cultural affairs. Discussions extended to fostering cooperation in youth affairs, enhancing bilateral tourism, and expanding trade and production ventures.Other areas of focus included joint technological collaboration in agriculture, the production of fertilizers essential for farming, and advancements in industrial development.
