






Magway Region Department of Small-Scale Industries organized a ceremony for the distribution of equipment for small-scale production and rural family income development projects. The event was held in the training hall of the department's office in Magway Township in 2nd December. Attendees included Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, RegionMinisters, Region Advocate General, and departmental officials from the region, district, and township levels, along with invited guests.
At the ceremony, Chief Minister U Tint Lwin delivered a speech, highlighting that the Department of Small-Scale Industries aims to facilitate the establishment of family-run small-scale businesses through technical training. These businesses could significantly contribute to the country's economic development and the emergence of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as a key driving force. Starting from the 2023–2024 fiscal year, training sessions were organized in nine villages across the Magway Region as part of the initiative to enhance small-scale production and rural family incomes. The project supported 45 entrepreneurs with necessary equipment, enabling them to establish their businesses.For 2024–2025 fiscal year, the program was expanded to 16 villages in the region, implementing 16 new projects. Of these, 14 projects have been successfully completed, benefiting 70 entrepreneurs with the means to start their own businesses.
Following this, Director Daw Su Su Khaing of the Department of Small-Scale Industries and presented an overview of the small-scale production and rural family income enhancement program.
The ceremony concluded with the distributing equipment to the trainees by the Chief Minister and Region Ministers. A representative of the trainees expressed gratitude on behalf of all participants. Afterward, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the displayed equipment and facilities related to the program.
