Tour in Nay Pyi Taw: Meeting athletes and inspecting Power Sub-Stations

On 30th November, Union Minister for Electic Power U Nyan Tun accompanied by Deputy Minister and departmental officials visited No.8 Basic Education High School in Zabuthiri Township and oversaw the training process of Ministry representative athletes.

There, the Union Minister cordially met with the coaches and athletes, instructed on systematic training process to raise the prestige of the Ministry and nation upholding sportsmanship. During the visit, cash assistance and nutritious foodstuff were also provided to the athletes.

A total of 113 athletes including coaches from the Ministry will participate in the 5th National Sports Festival. On the same day, the Union Minister and party visited No.1 230KV Main sub station in Ottarathiri Township and 33/11 KV Wunnatheikdi sub station in Zabuthiri Township and heard reports on power distribution process.

The Union Minister stressed on sufficient power distribution during national sports festival, systematic maintenance of the equipment, transformers and power lines, resilience of the sub stations and power outage reduction. He also instructed to emphasize on cleaniness of the sub stations and inspected the power distribution condition.
