




A Graduation Parade for the 5th Intake of the People’s Military Service Training was held at No.2 Advanced Military Training Depot in Nay Pyi Taw on 29th November.
The People’s Military Service Training Course, conducted under the National Defence Service Law, which came into force on February 10, 2024, aims to instill military knowledge and equip citizens with the ability to contribute to national defense and security responsibilities.
The 5th training which started on 9th September provided vigorous curriculum covering both theoretical and practical aspects of military science.
Khin Maung Naing, Warrant Officer II said "During the training, we provided comprehensive courses such as military drill, small arms subject as well as the military strategies theoretically and practically. Although I encountered some difficulties during the training, I’m proud to be a part of the training which nurtured the youths to become responsible and reliable citizens."
During the training period, the trainees engaged in various areas such as combat strategy, small arms and mine handling, tactical deployment and physical drills.
The honorary awards were presented to the outstanding trainees during the ceremony.
Thaw Win Naing, Trainee said "I’ve gained many experience and knowledge during 3-month training under the systematic guidance and instructions of the instructors. Mostly, I have learnt lessons and courses which are crucial in performing military front-line duties. I’ll try my best to fulfill my duties in respective areas."
The first intake of the People’s Military Service Training commenced on April 8, 2024. Graduates from the previous courses are now serving in their assigned units and formations, demonstrating unwavering commitment to protecting the nation’s sovereignty and security.
