Meeting with local authorities: Taninthayi Region CM held meeting with local authorities

The Chief Minister of Tanintharyi Region, U Myat Ko, accompanied by members of the region Government Ministers, Region-level departmental officials held a meeting with District and township-level departmental officials at the hall of Township General Administration Department in Bokepyin Township on November 26 to discuss regional development.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Bokepyin District Administrative Body, U Zaw Win Htay, presented updates on local affairs and the progress of various departmental initiatives.Chief Minister U Myat Ko expressed a commitment to continuously advancing the development of Bokepyin. The Chief Minister also discussed plans for construction of a jetty once the land is available and suitable for a 24-hour dock for motorboats as the sand-bank is formed at Bokepyin Beach.

He announced the plans to improve electricity reliability by purchasing a large generator and additional power cables.Responsible officials from the district and township departments, community leaders, and local administrators presented their needs and concerns, focusing on education, transportation, healthcare, and electricity access.

In response, Chief Minister U Myat Ko assured attendees that the government would prioritize addressing these issues. He emphasized the importance of ensuring sustainable rice farming to prevent declines in crop yields. And then, he coordinated requirements to meet the development needs effectively.

After the meeting, the Chief Minister and party visited District joint administrative office Site 131 in Aung Mingalar Ward, Bokepyin Township. At the briefing hall of the construction site, the Chairman of the District Administrative Body provided an update on the construction progress of the administrative office.

The Chief Minister reviewed the facilities, inspected the construction progress, and provided coordination as necessary.The Chief Minister and party also visited Bokepyin City Hall on Tapin Shwe Htee Road, inspecting its construction and the procurement of furnishings and other essentials. The Chief Minister gave additional guidance on addressing requirements.
