Inspection of road paving: MGY CM inspected asphalt paving in Magway

The Chief Minister of Magway Region, U Tint Lwin, accompanied by Region Government Ministers and region, district, and township level departmental officials, conducted an inspection of regional development projects on November 26.

The Chief Minister and party first visited the construction site of the paving asphalton the road connecting Magway bypass to the entrance of Magway University of Community Health located in Magway Township. This project is being implemented by the Department of Roads under the Ministry of Construction, with oversight from the Magway Supervisory Committee, using funds amounting to 265 million Kyats from the 2024–2025 fiscal year regional budget.

At the site, relevant officials provided detailed updates on the progress of the project. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of completing the work within the specified timeframe and according to the set standards. He highlighted that this road is not only a key connection between rural and urban areas but also serves as the access road to the University of Community Health (Magway), which is only one across the Myanmar. Therefore, the region government prioritized allocating funds to ensure its completion.

The Chief Minister also directed that, in addition to paving the road, drainage systems and box culverts should be constructed systematically along the roadside to ensure the long-term durability and effectiveness of the completed road, it’s reported.
