8th day of Gems Emporium: MNREC UM inspected sales of gems via tender system

The 8th day of 2024 Mid-Year Myanmar Gems Emporium continued at the Mani Yadanar Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw on 25th November. Starting in the morning, domestic gem traders explored jade lots from Group (C) displayed in designated outdoor areas, with purchases restricted to domestic traders only.

On this day, a total of 750 jade lots, from lot number 2560 to 3309, were put up for sale to domestic traders through an open tender system. According to an announcement, 735 of these lots were successfully sold.In the afternoon, Patron of the Gems Emporium Central Committee Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi, inspected examing price proposals after  opening the tender boxes for sales of jade lots from group (c)at the Mani Yadanar Jade Hall, and provided necessary instructions to the responsible officials.

In the ninth day of the emporim, jade lots numbered 3310 to 4059 from Group (C), totaling 750, were examined by the domestic gem traders. Bid submissions were placed in designated tender boxes. These bids will be opened and reviewed by the responsible officials in the evening, and the list of sold jade lots will be announced on the morning of November 26.

During the emporium, a total of 4,800 jade lots from Groups (A), (B), and (C) were offered for sale to both domestic and international gem traders through an open tender system. Out of 2,559 lots from Groups (A) and (B), 1,823 lots were sold to both domestic and international traders.

From Group (C), 750 lots, numbered 2560 to 3309, were sold to domestic traders, with 735 lots successfully auctioned.Similarly, the sale of remaining jade lots from group ( c ) to the domestic gems traders will be continued through open tender system till 27th November, it’s learnt.
