






Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe, accompanied by relevant officials, conducted a field inspection on cooperative businesses and regional development in Thanlyin Township, Yangon Region, on Sunday.
The visit began at the AlinYaung Livestock and General Cooperative Association in NgaByayMa Village. The Union Minister engaged with dairy cattle breeders and summer paddy growers and heard reports on local breeding and future expansion plans.
The Union Minister emphasized that dairy cattle breeding is well-suited to Yangon Region and underscored the government's rapid efforts to enhance agriculture, livestock and rural production under the guidance of the SAC Chairman. He highlighted support initiatives, including the State Economic Promotion Fund for essential inputs like seeds and fertilizers, as well as dedicated funds such as the Emerald Green Village Project Fund for livestock, agriculture and farm construction.
During the visit, the Union Minister also reviewed the progress of private dairy farming operations, including farm construction plans, supported by the Responsible Business Fund (RBF). He instructed for the development of dairy products into value-added ones.
The Union Minister and party then inspected the upgrade and concrete paving of damaged sections of the ThaNatPin-OakPhoSu village road, managed by the Thanlyin Township Rural Road Development Department. At the ThaNatPin village multipurpose hall, the Union Minister met with dairy breeders and farmers, heard reports on regional dairy farming through the cooperative system, summer paddy and winter oil crop cultivation and coordinated the needs.
Then, the Union Minister and the Region Minister for Natural Resources provided 832 bags of urea fertilizer and 155 bags of compound fertilizer for 58 farmers in 4 cooperative societies in Thanlyin Township and 150 bags of urea fertilizer for 10 peanut growers in KhaYan Township.
