Coordination meeting: Kachin State CM gave a speech at the meeting

The Kachin State Government held a coordination meeting to prepare the draft budget for state-owned enterprises' investments and fiscal expenditure estimates for the 2025-2026 fiscal year at the Malikha Hall of State Government office in Myitkyina on 21st November.

At the meeting, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan emphasized the importance of ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in the data, supporting documents, and project information when proposing investment plans for state-owned enterprises to be implemented during the 2025-2026 fiscal year.

He highlighted the need for careful management of budget allocations, including fund transfers, use of general reserve funds, and adjustments to the total estimated values to minimize errors. Additionally, he stressed the importance of conducting pre-implementation reviews and assessments.

The Chief Minister also urged prioritizing plans for agricultural and livestock development to ensure food security for the state. He called for the submission of proposals that focus on essential projects, initiatives that will directly benefit the public, and activities that are practical and feasible at the ground level. He encouraged relevant departments to prepare proposals in alignment with these directives and to thoroughly review and implement them.

Next, the State Minister for Economic Affairs, Director of State Planning Department, State Government members and State level departmental officials took part in the discussion on related sectors. Upon the discussions, the Chief Minister coordinated requirements.

In the afternoon on 20th November, the Chief Minister and officials attended the event of providing assistances for the school to implement the Clean and Green Schools held at No. 6 Basic Education High School in InJunDon Ward of Myitkyina Township. The Chief Minister gave a speech at the event, heard the clarification of Head Officer of State Environmental Conservation Department for the implementations for the clean and green schools and provided 1 million Kyats for No.1 Basic Education Primary School, 1.5 million Kyats for No.7 Basic Education Middle School and 2.5 million Kyats for No.6  Basic Education High School to implement the project within 2024-2025 Fiscal Year in Myitkyina District.

Then, the Chief Justice of State High Court, State ministers awarded the certificate of honor and cash of honor to the prize winning students and the Chief Minister and officials toured the environmental conservation awareness exhibition room and viewed the handicrafts created by the students.
