






The Department of Small-Scale Industries conducts the training courses on crop-based high-value food production technology, bamboo-based handicrafts, wood-based furniture, and various ice cream production technology under the Small-scale manufacturing and rural family income growth project.
A closing ceremony for these training courses was held at the General Administration Department Office in Pubbathiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday. Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe attended the ceremony, and made a speech.
The Union Minister said that the Department of Small-scale Industries under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development has been implementing the project to create small-scale manufacturing enterprises and growth of rural family income across regions and states including Nay Pyi Taw, starting from the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
The project has already been implemented at 151 villages in the 2023-2024 fiscal year and 221 villages in the 2024-2025 fiscal year. Previously, the Department of Small Scale Industries has provided the technical training, and at present, five outstanding trainees are selected from each course, providing business equipment to start their own businesses.
He urged trainees to study hard and work together for the interest of the self-region and the country as a whole. Then, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo explained the work activities to develop small, micro, and medium businesses within the Nay Pyi Taw Council area.
Then, the business equipment was presented to five outstanding trainees from each course. The completion certificates were also presented to the trainees. One of the trainees gave words of thanks on behalf of other trainees.
