Receiving a Delegation: MoH UM received a delegation of Global Fund

A delegation led by Senior Fund Portfolio Manager Ms. Maria Iazskun Gaviria Ayucar from the Global Fund headquarters based in Geneva, Switzerland paid a courtesy call to the Union Minister for Health, Dr. Thet Khaing Win at the reception hall of the Union Minister’s office on 20th November.

During the call, they cordially discussed on the matters of collaboration between the Ministry of Health and the Global Fund for the 2024-2026 period, particularly focusing on enhanced joint efforts in combating tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, and malaria.

They also reviewed the Ministry’s initiatives to ensure sufficient procurement of medications for HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis treatment through the national budget, the current availability of these medicines, and the measures to oversee fund utilization and project implementation.
