Coordination Meeting: Supplementary Budget of the Union for 2024-2025 FY

A coordination meeting on Supplementary Budget of the Union for 2024-2025 fiscal year was held in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday. Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win attended the meeting and made a speech.

He said the Head of State has guided to grant the supplementary budget for essential sectors including defence and security, socio-economic development, state economic promotion, agriculture and livestock, transportation, electricity and energy, health and education, boosting production, industrial progress and MSME development.

He pointed out that the concerned ministries and organizations are needed to scrutinize in using budget to avoid unnecessary expenses. The meeting discussed the scrutinizing process for the supplementary budget, permission for increased expenses of prioritized works, budget estimation and its amendment and auditing on income and expenditure. Upon the reports, the Vice Senior General coordinated the needs and made closing remarks.
