





Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, U Than Tun Oo, along with members of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, members of the Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee, and relevant department officials, on 19th November met with the athletes including male and female volleyball players, male basketball players, and male badminton and snooker players who are conducting camping training in Nay Pyi Taw Stadium for 5th National Sports Festival.
The Chairman offered words of encouragement and provided supplies such as training supplements, financial support, and sports equipment.Following this, the athletes' training conditions were inspected, and necessary support was provided to improve their training environments.
The Chairman, U Than Tun, and party later visited Taegyi Kone Village in Zambuthiri Township, where they attended the ceremony for the harvest of monsoon paddy in the field of farmer U Aung Ngwe at plot number 1659.
The Chairman delivered the opening speech at the event. Afterward, the personnel from the Township Agriculture Department provided detailed explanations about the ongoing agricultural activities and the current farming practices being undertaken by the local farmers.
The Chairman and party also visited the rice field of U Aung Ngwe, where the monsoon paddy harvest was being completed, and observed the process of threshing the rice. The rice yields were reported to be 145 baskets per acre in wet condition and 130 baskets per acre in dry condition.
In the afternoon, the Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council attended the 35th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the World Children's Day pre-celebration event held at the Zambuthiri Hall in Nay Pyi Taw Council Office. During the event, he delivered an opening speech followed group photo session with the children from the Nay Pyi Taw Department of Child Welfare and Pre-schools, enjoying a performance by the children, who sang songs and performed in a group and presented the children with gifts and awards for their performances.
After that, the wife of Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Patron of Nay Pyi Taw Mother and Child Care Supervision Committee, and the Chair of the Nay Pyi Taw Women's and Children's Welfare Association presented gifts and awards to the children in recognition of their outstanding performances.
