Hong Kong slated for free-trade agreement with Peru

Hong Kong is slated to sign a free-trade agreement with Peru. The consul-general of Peru in Hong Kong saidthe move will help elevate their bilateral trade and ties,and he welcomed more investments from Hong Kong enterprises. 

Hong Kong and Peru are now at the final stage of negotiations over avoiding dual tariffs. They are expected to formally sign the free-trade pact during the APEC summit. This will includes tariff cuts, streamlining customs clearance process,and building a dispute settlement mechanism.
