Tazaungdaing Festival: 3-day celebration successfully completed

On the final day of Tazaungdaing Festival on 15th November, the Maravijaya Buddha Image, situated in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory was crowded with pilgrims across the country.

In order to avoid traffic jam at the entry and exist of the pagoda, members of Traffic Police Unit provided convenient arrangement for smooth flow of vehicles so as to ensure safety public during their visit to the pagoda platform.  While paying homage to the Buddha Image, the pilgrims recited Dhamma and religious verses, offering oil lamps. 

Likewise, LED lights were illuminated in the Buddha Park, enhancing the reverence of public to the pagoda and stupas as well as the architectural works around the Buddha Park. Visitors can also enjoy the performances of vocalists, theatrical drama troupes and Yein Dance Troupes from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture together with Pho Chit Drama Troupes.

Similarly, local products and traditional snacks of the MSME businesses were sold with reasonable prizes at the Expo.  Health care centers were also opened at the compound of the pagoda to provide emergency health care services to the visitors.

The Tazaungdaing Lighting Festival was successfully held from 13th to 15th November at the Maravijaya Buddha Image and pilgrims across the country joyously participated in the festive activities while performing meritorious deeds.
