





On 14th November, Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin met with the Deputy Governor of Yunnan Province.
The delegation is currently in China to attend 3rd World Oil and Gas Conference. During the meeting, both sides cordially discussed matters pertaining to collaborative efforts on oil and gas utilization in Yunnan Province which is distributed through Myanmar-China Oil and Gas pipeline, potential investments from Yunnan energy entrepreneurs and investors, energy related engineering subjects, preparations to hold Asian Oil & Gas Equipment Exhibition in Myanmar in 2025, bilateral cooperation in Investment Forum for Oil & Gas Sector, as well as Grant Aid provision of Yunnan Government in establishing Solar power station in Yangon and Mandalay.
Then the delegation attended honorary dinner hosted by the Yunnan Deputy Governor. On 13th November, Myanmar delegation visited oil refinery of PetroChina Yunnan Petrochemical Company in Yunnan. There, the officials explained the production process, quality control, maintenance measures, efficient advanced technology utilization in environmental preservation and safety and the Union Minister made discussions on technology matters and opening of theoretical and practical trainings.
In the afternoon, the Union Minister met with the officials from Yunnan Construction Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd. (YCIH) and Yunnan Provincial Overseas Investment Co., Ltd. (YOIC). During the meeting, they discussed matters on upgrading and expansion of oil refineries and investments in energy sector as well as the further collaborative activities.
