Indian Herders Gather in Desert City for Camel-Trading Fair

Indian herders with flocks of camels gather in the desert city of Pushkar for a camel-trading fair. The week-long livestock market runs from November 9th to 12th where camels, horses, and cattle are traded alongside religious and spiritual activities.

The fair dates back to the 19th century where local tribes used to gather in Pushkar to trade camels and other livestock. It gained popularity over time and became an annual event that brings buyers, sellers, as well as tourists from all over the world.
